What Is Health Coaching And How Can It Help Me?

The simple answer is: it’s a way to help you get from where you are to where you want to be, with a strong focus on nutrition, movement, productivity and mindset. What makes it unique is it’s a very holistic approach that considers many aspects of health and wellness to help you achieve your goals.

There are many different types of health coaches; some are more focused on diet and hormone re-balancing; others are more inspired by helping people make positive changes through the subconscious mind and by manifesting; others are more like traditional personal trainers – focused more on the exercise side of things but can also advise and guide you on diet and nutrition; and others sit closer to spiritual and thought leaders – helping you with your deeper connection and life purpose.

Basically, it’s about helping you move from here to there, even if you don’t completely know where ‘there’ is yet.

A health coach helps you make powerful shifts in your life by bridging the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it. My work focuses on mindset, movement, and nutrition — the three pillars that most influence how you feel each day. I guide clients to build healthier habits, reframe limiting beliefs, and find sustainable approaches that fit into real life, not add pressure to it.

Health Coaching isn’t about quick fixes or fad diets – it about helping people make longterm, sustainable positive life changes.

Something to keep in mind when working with a health coach –  they don’t (and shouldn’t) diagnose; they can advise and educate but unless they have specifically had functional medicine training (or are a qualified medical practitioner) they should steer clear of diagnosing you with any sort of disease. They can of course connected you to a range of different health professional should you need extra support – for example functional medicine doctors, chiropractors, psychologists.

As a Health Coach, my focus is primarily on supporting women so they can function at their best. Here are a few ways I can help:

  • If you feel overwhelmed, constantly stressed, or can’t seem to switch off and recover

  • If you wake up exhausted, drained, or like you’re running on empty

  • If you struggle to sustain healthy habits around nutrition or movement for more than a few days or weeks

  • If you have a turbulent relationship with food, cravings, or emotional eating

  • If you generally don’t feel “healthy” or in balance despite doing all the things you think you should

  • If you’re aiming to grow your business, career, or personal goals but lack the energy, focus, or motivation to make it happen

  • If you realise you can’t keep going the way you are and need a structured, supportive approach to change

  • If you’re ready to prioritise yourself, build mental and physical resilience, and create sustainable high-performance habits
